We believe in God the Creator; in Jesus Christ the Liberator and Re­deemer,
and in the Holy Spirit the Com­forter and Sustainer 


Core Beliefs

Brownson is a covenant community of Christian believers called to serve God. Our congregation is multi-generational. Some of our members are life-long Presbyterians while others come from various Christian faith backgrounds. All are welcome here. We believe in God the Creator; in Jesus Christ the Liberator and Re­deemer, and in the Holy Spirit the Com­forter and Sustainer. We seek to live and witness in the church, in our community, and in the world as called by God—clothed in compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, pa­tience, and love. We all are active participants in the life of the church, and are committed to individual and collective pursuits of Christian understanding.

We are a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA) under the Coastal Carolina Presbytery. Brownson celebrates 90 years as a congre­gation in 2026.
